This interactive educational lecture is for parents, guardians, loved ones and/or caregivers for those on the autism spectrum.

Everyone gets frustrated sometimes, but for young adults and adults on the autism spectrum it can cause non-functional behaviors, such as yelling, eloping, or shutting down.  We’ll discuss a behavioral technique called Redirection, which is often confused with “giving in” when not used properly.

Parents and loved ones of adults and young adults (14+) on the autism spectrum will be taught how to use Redirection properly to increase the independence of their children and loved ones.  After participating in group activities, role-playing, and a question and answer segment, participants will walk out feeling confident in the strategies they have learned!

A Special Note for Parents/Guardians:

Our "Wizards, Wands and Wardrobes" event is taking place on the same day as this educational lecture, and it is open to adults/young adults on the autism spectrum ages 14 and up.
