Summer Volunteers for Camps:

LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER FOR SUMMER CAMP AT SEEDs for Autism?

SEEDs for Autism is a nonprofit organization located in downtown Phoenix, that works with youth and adults impacted with autism. 

Come join the fun for hands on activities assisting alongside campers.  Camp sessions include: Science, Art, Music, Physical Activities, Drama, Cooking, Social Skills and more.

Volunteers will lead or assist with hands-on camp activities for students with autism ages 14 and up.  

        Ideal candidate will have:

  • some experience working with special needs youth

  • works well as a team

  • is flexible and can think on their feet

  • enjoys helping others learn

  • is supportive and patient

  • likes to be creative

  • is energetic and friendly

  • can be a leader to others when necessary

  • positive communication skills and coaching methods depending on student needs

  • has transportation and able to be on time

Our summer sessions fall on the following dates Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays from 9am – 2pm 

  • Session 1 - June 6-17 

  • Session 2 - June 27-July 8

  • Session 3 - July 18 – 29

  • It is required that all volunteers attend a Volunteer Orientation and tour of the facility (dates and times will be announced 3 weeks prior to our first session)
